The migration of “Supergirl” from CBS to The CW carried with it a lot of changes. Amongst the most anticipated of these would be the differences in casting. A lot of viewers are particularly worried if they would still get to see Cat Grant, played by Calista Flockhart, on the show. Fortunately, such issue has been solved in the recent San Diego Comic Con 2016.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Supergirl” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next season airs.

A report by Screenrant reveals that Cat Grant will still be in the show. She, however, will not be as visible as she was in the past season.

“Supergirl” executive producer Sarah Schechter revealed in the same post that viewers will still see a lot of Cat in the series, but maybe a little bit less. She adds that this would work well because Kara does not have the same relationship wit h Cat work- wise.

Season 1 ended with Kara being promoted and given her own office. While how her new job will be for her is yet to be revealed, much relief has already been given to those who are worried about not seeing Cat on the series anymore.

The change of network for “Supergirl” will also diversify its universe. A post in Slashfilm reveals that Kara is also set to appear on “Legends of Tomorrow.”

Producer Mark Guggenheim briefly teased how Supergirl would show up on “Legends of Tomorrow.” He says that while he does not want to oversell the series, Kara is definitely set to come over but they are not planning to do a full “Supergirl” crossover episode.

This is because the “Legends of Tomorrow” would like to develop each individual character while not leaving anybody out. Considering the number of superheroes on the show alone, this would already take up a lot of time. The show features a team of superheroes, so it is most necessary to show their development as a team. This sets it apart from other superhero TV series.

“Legends of Tomorrow” will be back on air on Thursday, October 13 , 2016 . Season 2 of “Supergirl” will premiere on Monday, October 2. Both shows air on the The CW. They also air in Australia via Foxtel.
