'Suits' season 7 episode 2 preview: Jessica's back, new character to be introduced

Jessica (Gina Torres) will be back in “Suits” season 7 episode 2. The other partners at Pearson Specter Litt are beginning to move on without their former boss, but she will be back for what seems like a quick cameo. Meanwhile, there is a new character being introduced. The following article contains minor spoilers.

Harvey (Gabriel Macht) has moved into Jessica’s office and has taken over the reins of the firm as the new Managing Partner. The character appears to continue reaching out to people who have been a big part of his life in the past. There will be a nostalgic moment in the next episode, as he calls up his old boss to let her know that he is sitting in her chair. Jessica may be happy with the promotion, but she wants the lawyer to take his feet of her desk.

The new season started with Harvey reconnecting with his former therapist Paula Agard (Christina Cole). The lawyer continues to be the dominant topic in the conversations the couple have, and Harvey likes it that way.

Apart from the nostalgia and romance, there will be drama in the next episode. Harvey and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) are fighting another big case together, and the duo is back to their old selves. Harvey wants his new partner to stop apologising and start intimidating others to get what they want.

There is also tension with Rachel (Meghan Markle), who can be seen in the preview video pointing out that she is an accomplished attorney. It’s not clear what she wants, but Harvey tells her that he made a deal with Mike and not her.

“Suits” season 7 episode 2 will also bring in a new character. Dule Hill (Alex Williams) will be playing the role of an old friend of Harvey. This is a recurring character, and he has been brought into the firm to help get things on track.
