Mark Hamill has shared a behind the scenes picture of himself and fellow cast member Daisy Ridley from “Star Wars: Episode 8” set at Pinewood Studios. The picture is a reminder of a familiar scene from the original trilogy of the movie franchise.

[Spoiler alert]

Luke Skywalker (Hamill) was once a Jedi in training and it was Master Yoda who helped him become a Jedi master. During one of the training sessions, Yoda sat on Luke’s back and guided him. Hamill has now shared a picture of him being carried by Ridley (Rey) on her back, teasing the old scene.

While Luke may help train Rey in the ways of the Force, she may not necessarily become a Jedi. In an interview with MTV, Ridley said that she is not sure if her character is a Jedi and said that she believes that Rey isn’t a Jedi.

She pointed out that although Leia (Carrie Fisher) is strong in the Force she is not a Jedi. Rey may take a similar route in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Ridley also teased that the next movie will be “darker,” when compared to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

One question that the next movie is expected to answer is the origins of Rey. Ridley, however, brushed the question aside. The actress said that it was not important where Rey came from, even though many of the fans are interested in it.

Rey and Finn (John Boyega) are two characters whose parentage was not revealed in the J.J. Abrams movie. It is not clear if “Star Wars: Episode 8” will reveal who the characters’ parents were. Production of the movie has been going on in full swing and the cast and crew are expected to return to Ireland soon to continue filming. The movie is being directed by Rian Johnson and will be released on Dec. 15, 2017.
