Hackers broke in and ruined Sesame Street’s YouTube account on Sunday. According to reports, malicious, obscene, and hardcore pornographic scenes were posted in replace for the original and family friendly videos of Ernie, Bert, and the rest of the gang. Aside from that, hackers also changed the profile name to MrEdxwx.

“WHO DOESN'T LOVE PORN KIDS? RIGHT! EVERYONE LOVES IT! IM MREDXWX AND MY PARTNER MRSUICIDER91 ARE HERE TO BRING YOU MANY NICE CONTENT! PLEASE DON'T LET SESAME STREET TO GET THIS ACCOUNT BACK KIDS :( PLEASE...LET ME AND MRSUICIDER91 HAVE IT AND WE GONNA MAKE ALL THE AMERICA HAPPY!” These are the words written on the profile’s description.

On the other hand, Youtube was able to remove the obscene content after 22 minutes. Sesame Street’s YouTube channel is no longer on air and is replaced by a message saying that the channel is not available. YouTube representatives were not able to reply immediately regarding requests for comment.

Hacking is now becoming a viral internet problem. Previous reports of hacking different huge websites and companies have been recorded. A group called LulzSec, which is a short term for “laughing at your security”, has entered and ruined News International’s servers. The group threatened to release sensitive emails to staffs. Embarrassing cyber attacks were also launched in different companies such as Sony, Nintendo, CIA, and even security firms.

Hacking attacks or the so called "hacktivism" is taking off and affecting several small and huge businesses especially those which are based online. The main targets of these hackers are sites with secured systems. They want to prove to everyone that they can access everything they want.

On the other hand, the Sesame Street’s hacker MrEdxwx created a video stating that he didn’t hack the channel.
