"Rizzoli & Isles" Season 5, episode 11 "If You Can't Stand the Heat" was written by Diana Mendez and Sam Lembeck. Steve Clancy directed it. Here's what happened in this episode. Jane and Maura's case involved a landlord named Richard Nelson (Al Vicente), who was found dead in a bathtub. However, Maura found out as she was examining the body, that Nelson was strangled to death. Upon further investigation, they discovered that he has millions of dollars stashed and that it was from a kidnapping that he was involved in. It turned out that his accomplice wanted to keep all of the money for himself that's why he killed Nelson.

Meanwhile, to escape the heat, Angela Rizzoli (Lorraine Bracco) tried out some spicy tea. But, there were some side effects that she didn't quite expect to happen. It was like a love potion. And, Frankie Rizzoli Jr. (Jordan Bridges) found a lost dog. He wants to return it to its owner, but it seems that he is slowly getting attached to it, even naming the dog.

Rizzoli & Isles" Season 5, episode 11 "If You Can't Stand the Heat" also featured Bruce McGill (Detective Vince Korsak), Idara Victor (Nina Holiday) and Mark Hengst (Craig).
