Lewis Hamilton has added another tattoo in his growing list of body art. The 30-year-old reigning Formula One (F1) world champion visited Bang Bang tattoo shop in New York City to get a huge tattoo inked on his left shoulder.

In a photo that Hamilton shared to his 1.5 million Instagram followers, the Mercedes driver was seen getting a huge body art to his heavily inked-bod. The new tattoo was situated on Hamilton’s left shoulder, but the Briton didn’t explain the design of his latest body art.

Hamilton has got lots of tattoos on his body. He bared them all when he posed for a photo shoot for Men’s Health UK. He has a Sacred Heart tattoo on his right arm in addition to the Pieta, which is a sculpture created by Michelangelo depicting the agony that Mother Mary suffered after Jesus Christ was brought down from the cross. He has a compass on his chest. He also had angel wings and a cross tattooed on his body. Hamilton also had the words “family,” “faith” and “powerful beyond measure” inked on his body.

Hamilton, who took eight pole positions out of nine races, was recently the subject of various media outlets after he has fallen victim to a fashion faux pas. Hamilton was recently invited to join the celebrities like Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Grant in the royal box for the gentlemen’s men’s singles final, but he was expelled from his seat after he failed to meet the dress code. Hamilton missed the match, which featured defending champion Novak Djokovic and seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.

A representative for the F1 champion said via The Telegraph that there was a little confusion regarding the dress code. The report said that the viewers in the royal box should wear a jacket and a tie. Hamilton came to the sports event dressed in a floral collared shirt.

The British racer is currently enjoying a three-week break after claiming his fifth title of the season at the British Grand Prix on July 5. In addition to his five Grand Prix victories, Hamilton had three runner-up finishes in Malaysia, Spain, and Austria.
