Prince William and Kate Middleton wanted a ‘people wedding’ and the one best way to show it is to do what every Tom, Dick and Harry would do shortly after the wedding: going back to work like many of us.

Now the Duke of Cambridge and a newly married royal, Prince William is expected to punch in for work Tuesday - - after a long weekend in an undisclosed location with his new wife, Duchess Catherine.

Though news from various media outlets suggested that Great Britain’s future King had asked for a two-week leave for his honeymoon following the grand wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey Friday, the honeymoon was reportedly postponed and was moved at a later date, according to The Daily Mail.

The long weekend according to The Daily Mail ends Monday and William is expected back to work Tuesday at the earliest. The Duke of Cambridge works as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot on Anglesey.

It has been reported that Prince William like ordinary employee has filed for leave for his wedding and was given a one-week vacation. Distributing his yearlong-vacation, The Duke is believed to have asked for another long vacation at the end of May for his now much-anticipated Royal honeymoon.

The couple was suspected to take a tropical honeymoon and a number of destinations including Mustique, Kenya and Jordan are among the speculated destinations for their honeymoon.
