Prince Harry is excited by the news that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their second child, but not for the reason one might think. He said that he “can’t wait” to see his older brother “suffer more” with the birth of Prince George’s younger sibling.

The almost-30-year-old Prince, who was at an Invictus Games training session in London, spoke up about the happy news the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the day earlier.

“It’s a very exciting news. I can’t wait to see my brother suffer more,” Harry joked, adding that it’s even better if they are expecting a girl this time because William “would suffer even greater.”

“I would love to see him try to cope with that.”

Harry got serious when he talked next about his sister-in-law, who is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, or more commonly known as severe morning sickness, again.

“I hope my sister-in-law gets better soon. I hope the two of them have the opportunity to go through the process again with a little bit of peace and quiet,” he said.

He also described Kate as feeling “pretty poorly” but she’s “doing the best she can.”

He quipped, “Actually, I’m not a woman, so I don’t have to go through that. It’s pretty horrible thing to go through.”

As with her first pregnancy with George, Kate is suffering again from hyperemesis gravidarum. She is being taken care of by doctors at Kensington Palace.

Born a second son himself, Harry knows all too well what it’s like to be a younger sibling. So when asked if he could give the new baby advice or strategy on how to go about being the younger brother or sister, he said, “There’s never a strategy. I think George will be over the moon. I think he will be thrilled having a small younger brother or sister.”

When reminded that his prospect of becoming a King has reduced even more, the royal bachelor laughed, simply saying, “Great!”

Harry will be turning 30 years old on September 15.
