'Power'
A still from Starz TV series "Power." Starz/ Facebook

The clock is ticking in the “Power” season 5 finale. The extended episode will focus on Angela Valdes (Lela Loren), as the Federal prosecutors close in on her for her association with Ghost (Omari Hardwick).

Angela will have to make a choice in the next episode. She can either tell everything she knows about Ghost and save herself or find a way to save everyone, including herself, by going against her colleagues.

The preview video of the next episode clearly shows the choice Angela will make. She will come up with a plan to save everyone. The prosecutors need a witness to make their case stick. So long as Angela, James, Tommy (Joseph Sikora), Tasha (Naturi Naughton), and Lakeisha (La La Anthony) keep their mouths shut they should be fine. The only wrinkle with this plan is that Dre (Rotimi) knows enough about them to send them all to prison, in exchange for immunity.

If Angela’s plan includes pinning everything on Dre it may backfire. So, she has to be very careful with her next move. One thing they can do is kill Dre after making him a scapegoat, just as they did with Kanan (50 Cent).

There is one problem. James and Angela have been through so much that they no longer trust each other. It is the same story for James with Tasha and Tommy as well. All of them will have to suppress their suspicion if they want to get out of this unscathed.

Tommy is particularly a mess at the moment. A preview scene that has been released online [see below] shows Tommy and James having a conversation while they are on their way to a meeting with Tasha and James. This is when Ghost will find out that his friend murdered his own father.

Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) is missing in the preview, but the character has become too important to be ignored in the finale. It will be interesting to see if he will get caught selling drugs in the finale, making this the cliff-hanger for season 6.
