Starz has released the trailer of “Outlander” Season 2 episode 2. The trailer teases some of the scenes from the next episode and Claire reveals that the Scottish rebellion was planned in a French brothel. Meanwhile, executive producer Ronald D. Moore appears in a new video to speak about some of the scenes of the premiere episode.

[Spoiler alert]

The trailer shows that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will meet with Louise de Rohan (Claire Sermonne) in the next episode. Louise will become Claire’s best friend and will take the couple to a lavish party in Versailles.

Louise in well connected and is willing to introduce the couple to any prominent family in France that the couple want to meet. This is in line with what the Frasers want in order to achieve their goal of stopping the Jacobite rebellion.

The trailer also shows Claire saying that if the Scottish rebellion can be planned in a French brothel it can be stopped in a French court. Jamie and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) will be visiting a French brothel in the next episode of “Outlander” Season 2.

Meanwhile, Moore appeared in a new video to talk about the premiere episode. The producer revealed that he initially planned to transition from the 1940s to the 1700s by showing Frank (Tobias Menzies) and Claire driving off in a car and then switching to Jamie and Claire at the harbour.

It was Chris Albrecht of Starz who convinced Moore that he could come up with something better. The end result was the beautiful cinematic hand-off that transitions from Claire stretching her arm towards Frank to Jamie taking Claire’s hand.

With the emotional reunion of Frank and Claire out of the way, the next episode of “Outlander” Season 2 can focus on the romance and adventure of Jamie and Claire. Jamie, however, is still haunted by the torture he endured in the first season.
