A new behind the scenes video from the set of “Outlander” Season 2 has surfaced online. The video features cast members Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe talking about the TV series. Meanwhile, Claire Sermonne shared some details about her character Louise de Rohan in a recent interview.

A video posted on Entertainment Weekly shows the cast members posing for photographs in their French costumes. Heughan (Jamie) and Balfe (Claire) praised the new costumes. Balfe said that it was nice to see her character explore her feminine side.

The cast members pointed out how different the new season is visually. The colours and the fabrics may be visually appealing, but the two cast members can’t wait to get back to the mud and wools in Scotland, because that feels much more authentic to the show.

Jamie and Claire are set to return to Scotland in the second half of the next season. While they are in France, Claire will become best friends with Louise. In an interview with Female First, Sermonne said that Louise is an aristocrat from the highest ranking family in France. She introduces Claire to all the important families in France in “Outlander” Season 2.

Sermonne teased that Louise wants to have fun and wants everybody else around her to also have fun. The actress pointed out that the setting of the show in France is just before the French Revolution, so the major focus of the aristocracy is parties.

Louise is married, but that doesn’t stop her from having many lovers, Sermonne teased. The actress explained that this was normal in that time period. Louise, however, doesn’t reveal anything about having lovers to her husband.

Although Louise may be seen talking a lot about sex in “Outlander” Season 2, she herself will not be seen in any intimate scenes. Louise also has a “darker side,” which will be revealed as she changes due to her friendship with Claire. Sermonne revealed that her character will come to realise what being free really means through her friendship.
