'The Originals' Actor Charles Michael Davis Shows Up On 'Jane The Virgin' Set, Justin Baldoni Shares Image And Video On Instagram

An interesting off-screen crossover happened on the set of the CW TV series titled “Jane The Virgin.” Actor Charles Michael Davis, who portrays vampire Marcel in the CW spinoff series “The Originals,” showed up on the “Jane The Virgin” set in Los Angeles to visit his friend Justin Baldoni.

According to a Just Jared Jr. report, “Jane The Virgin” cast member Justin Baldoni, who portrays baby daddy Rafael Solano in the comedy-drama TV series, decided to share about “The Originals” star Charles Michael Davis’ visit on Instagram. Actor Justin Baldoni initially shared an image of Charles Michael Davis with his “Jane The Virgin” co-star Yael Grobglas.

“On the next episode of #janethevirgin , Rafael will be played by Marcel. a.k.a my boy Charles Michael Davis @theoriginals @cwjanethevirgin #avampiretelenovellacrossover,” Baldoni posted on his Instagram account justinbaldoni on Thursday, Jan. 29, as a caption to the image shared. Then, Justin Baldoni shared a video of “The Originals” actor Charles Michael Davis running towards him in slow motion. The 31-year-old “Jane The Virgin” actor revealed on his Instagram post that Charles Michael Davis arrived to be of service at the Skid Row Carnival.

“I hadn’t seen him for a few months and as he ran up to hug me, I was able to capture on film what I’m pretty sure is every teenage girls fantasy. So, boys and girls, I present to you…Charles Michael Davis in slow motion,” Baldoni further posted as a caption to the slow motion video. Meanwhile, Charles Michael Davis teased in The Hollywood Reporter interview that his on-screen character, Marcel, is once again in danger after surviving a werewolf bite in “The Originals” Season 2, episode 11 titled “Brotherhood of the Damned.” According to Davis, Finn Mikaelson (Yusuf Gatewood) is on a mission to destroy his family starting with Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) secret.

“Finn's going to do whatever it takes to dig that out. So he's going to go after the Original family, and if/when that doesn't work, he'll go after anyone close to him. So he'll go after Marcel,” Davis explained. When asked about another Mikaelson family member returning, Charles Michael Davis teased that his character will most likely be surprised to hear the news just like the Mikaelson family members.

Freya’s intentions are currently unknown so the eldest Mikaelson sibling could be a threat or an ally. Charles Michael Davis claimed that determining whether Freya is a friend or an enemy entirely depends on her actions.

“The Originals” Season 2 returns with episode 12 titled “Sanctuary” on Monday night, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
