While Apple freaks will always choose anything Apple, the more experimental ones always gives other phones a chance to surprise them. Somewhat similar is Oppo F1s. Even though a comparison with Apple iPhone 7 may seem too farfetched, some may be surprised with the results. While iPhone 7 is undoubtedly one of the best in the market today, Oppo F1s also packs on its features and specs.

The Oppo F1s has a big 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and has the Color OS 3.0. The Apple iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 750 x 1334 pixels as screen resolution. It has an ion-strengthened glass and oleophobic coating. It has a 3D Touch Display and Home buttona dn Display Zoom.

The Oppo F1s has a Mediatek MT6755 chipset and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Apple iPhone 7 scores big with an iOS 10.0.1 (upgradable to iOS 10.1), Apple A10 Fusion processor and six-core graphics GPU. The Oppo has a dedicated microSD card slot that expands memory up to 256GB from the 32/64GB internal memory. The 32GB variant comes with a 3GB RAM while the 64GB model has a 4GB RAM.

Apple iPhone 7 has no microSD card slot, has a 2GB RAM and comes in 32/128/256GB internal memory variants. The fingerprint scanner is however included in both devices. The Oppo F1s has an impressive non-removable Li-Po 3,075 mAh battery whereas the iPhone 7 comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 1,960 mAh battery, writes GSMArena.

The Oppo F1s is known as the “selfie phone” because of its incredible 16MP front camera whereas the Apple iPhone 7 has a 7MP front camera. The front camera comes with a flash and is capable of 1080p recording. It includes GIF and double exposure shooting modes and filters. The F1s features a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash.

When it comes to camera features, the 12MP rear camera in Apple iPhone 7 is capable of phase detection autofocus, OIS and quad-LED (dual tone) flash. Other features include geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection and HDR (photo/panorama). It takes shots comparable with entry-level DSLRs.

However, the Oppo F1s base model comes with an impressive price tag of US$270 (AU$360) whereas the Apple iPhone 7 prices start at US$650 (AU$870). The Oppo phone has very well-balanced features and can definitely be tried though the iPhone 7 is surely at the top currently.
