Adventure game “Nowhere: Lost Memories” is now on sale for free in Apple’s App store until March 1. Previously, it sold for US$2.99 (AU$3.99). The game was released back in April 2016.

The first-person game belongs to the mystery-horror adventure genre. It is likely to scare players who are fond of adventure games as it will require them to do some exploration. In the game, players will check out various areas that may seem deserted at times. But they have to be on the lookout because the character is not the only one there.

The premise of the adventure game is that the antagonist, who has just woken up in a mysterious place, must find a way to escape. The story is set in the middle of nowhere, which might seem inescapable at first glance. But there is a way to escape from the place, only that players will have to keep moving forward.

“Nowhere: Lost Memories” is geared towards those who love to play the first-person mystery adventure genre. It immerses players into the storyline through an audio narrative, which requires use of headphones. Players are encouraged to discover the mysterious character and explore places that will be stranger and stranger as the story progresses. Players must solve different enigmas to be able to uncover the truth -- of what darkness lies behind the place.

The adventure game will be free for only 48 hours, according to game developer DarkPath Studio. The developer estimates it could be finished within two hours if the player answers all of the questions right away. However, for first-time players and with no cheats, the game could last a good four to six hours of non-stop gameplay. DarkPath Studio said that although the game is not that long, it is intense enough for game fans will enjoy. It took the developers about four years to complete “Nowhere: Lost Memories.”

The iOS adventure game is similar to “Five Nights” and “Slender Man” as it follows a mystery-horror theme. Therefore, for players looking for a mystery-horror game, “Nowhere: Lost Memories” could be an addition to their list of favourites. But unlike the other two, the game is free for a limited time.

“Nowhere: Lost Memories” is an iOS game designed to be played on both the iPhone and the iPad. However, it is also compatible with the iPod Touch. The iDevice however should run on iOS 8.1 or on a later version.
