Nokia has finally unleashed a new tablet called the Nokia N1 tablet that has a stylish and compact device running on Android OS and is expected to come with an affordable price tag. The tablet will be built by Foxconn even the actual design of the device has been done by Nokia.

According to GforGames, Nokia is not allowed to use the 'Nokia' brand name for manufacturing and selling smartphones until the end of 2016 as per the terms and conditions of Microsoft-Nokia acquisition deal. However, there is no restriction on Nokia for manufacturing other tech products. Hence, with Nokia N1, the company has finally entered the tablet segment. What's even more interesting about the tablet is that it is powered with Android OS. The entire Nokia N1 specifications have been revealed.

PhoneArena claims that the 7.9-inch Nokia N1 has a thickness of only 6.9 mm and it weighs only 318 g. The Nokia slate has a marvelous design as it sports an aluminum chassis and the rounded corners of the device makes it easier to hold. The tablet is available in colours like Natural Aluminum and Lava Gray. It is not a GSM device which means it does not support phone calls.

The Nokia N1 features a 7.9-inch IPS LCD display that supports 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution and offers a pixel density of 324 ppi. The screen is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. The N1 is powered Intel Atom Z3580 chipset that houses a quad-core processor that speeds at 2.3 GHz and PowerVR G6430. The chipset is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM.

The internal storage capacity of Nokia N1 of the device is 32 GB and there is no external storage support for adding microSD card. The main camera which lies at the backside of the device is of 8 MP and supports full HD video shooting whereas the front-facing camera is of 5 MP. It also features a reversible USB Type-C connector

The Nokia N1 tablet is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS which is overlaid with Nokia Z launcher. The Nokia Android tablet features a 5,300 mAh battery. The tablet is poised to release in the coming year during Chinese new year. In China, the Nokia N1 will roll out with an estimated price tag of $249.
