The new iPhone 6 concept image visualized a phablet in the making that will rival other tablet-smartphone hybrid in the market.

The latest render was imagined by creative Simone Evangelista and Ran Avni. They showed a device with 5.5 inches screen display. According to Concept Phones, the device will feature long volume buttons that were similar to that of iPad Mini's.

The body also resembled the design of iPad Mini but was wider and more elongated than usual. Moreover, the device has very slim screen bezels. The device retained the Home button that most probably embedded with TouchID fingerprint sensor.

Apple still has not released the official specs and features of iPhone 6. However, it was long rumoured that the company will release a smartphone for the phablet category. Speculations said that two iPhone 6 variants will be coming this year and both versions will come with a bigger screen display. However, both models will pack the faster and better A8 processor, and the upcoming iOS 8. Moreover, the iPhone 5S' TouchID fingerprint sensor will surely receive new features and improvements.

Yesterday, Apple launched a much cheaper 8GB iPhone 5C. The handset will be available Australia, China and some European countries. Apple aimed to regain its dominance in the smartphone market by releasing a more affordable iPhone 5C. It was reported that iPhone 5C was a bit of a flop when it was released in September last year. However, the low cost handset proved to be more expensive compared to other smartphones in the market.

According to Digitimes, 3 million iPhone 5C units were still unsold where 2 million were stored in Pegatron's warehouses and 1 million units were collecting dust in carriers' and retailers' shelves. This is because iPhone 5C failed to attract consumers making it harder to sell and yielded poor sales and profits.

iPhone 6 release date was believed to arrive in June at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference alongside the upcoming iOS 8. However, it may be delayed with the release of iPhone 5C. Other reports claimed that the handset will arrive in September or October.
