Online shopping is growing in Australia, with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission attesting that an increasing number of people are getting used to purchasing items online. In relation to this, Cloud Web Hosting services and other online marketing solutions are being launched to help Australian businesses.

According to a recent Nielsen poll, 92 percent of consumers value word-of-mouth referrals. Social media and other online marketing strategies can now spread word of mouth advertising faster. Invesp reports that 5 percent of all online spending was through social commerce in 2015.

One of these online strategies is electronic commerce, also called e-commerce. The industry was revolutionised due to the rise of eBay and Amazon sites, allowing consumers to purchase items online. Among the benefits of e-commerce include around-the-clock availability, fast and easy access of products and international reach.

E-commerce market is continuously growing, according to the data from the US Commerce Department. Online sales accounted for over a third of total US retail sales growth in 2015.

E-commerce through smartphones and social media is also on the rise. Internet Retailer reported that mobile accounted for 30 percent of all e-commerce activities in the US in 2015. Email marketing is another online strategy being used to sell products through the Internet.

Experts shared some advice in creating a business website. Rebecca Swift, creative planning manager for iStockphoto, noted the size and number of images must be taken into consideration. “The luxury or more aspirational websites use few images but will invest in using images that have strong emotional, conceptual and often artistic meaning to add value to their product offering,” the Guardian quotes Swift.

Gavin Cockerill, the managing director of Flyerzone, said outsourcing designs can be a good idea. He had also talked about making money from a website. “Discovering your website 'money terms' has to be key to a rapid return on investment,” he said.
