New ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ Trailer And ‘Rogue’ Info Show Off More Story And Open World Action

Paris becomes alive once more in another "Assassin's Creed Unity" trailer. This time, the wonder revolves around the NPCs that make the city bustle and hustle with life. The experience trailer released by Ubisoft tours players through the side quests that can be explored in the game. In the video, "Assassin's Creed Unity" creative director Alex Amancio shares his insights on what they aimed for the title.
"We've ensured that every area of Paris has its own identity. By dramatically changing architectural styles and NPC behavior, each Parisian district has been brought to life along with its own special characters," Amancio said in the video. "This unprecedented activity and variety take interactivity to a whole new level and introduce play styles never-before-seen in an "Assassin's Creed" game."
In side quests, you only need to solve the crime so you can get unique rewards. The likes of the Paris stories take you to do more than just assassinations-you can easily try solving murder mysteries, treasure hunting and more. Treasure hunting is also made more fun with friends via the Heists co-op missions, which gives you access to the less inaccessible areas in "Assassin's Creed Unity." The big plus is that you can play again and again without getting bored, as the layouts, root and guard paths are randomized.
The Replica of Phantom Blade For 'Unity'
Over at the Ubisoft Blog, the developer has also introduced the Phantom Blade, an iconic weapon in the franchise, and one that can now be part of the wearable collection that can be wielded by fans. According to the developer, "Assassin's Creed Unity" has partnered with McFarlane Toys to bring the Phantom Blade projectile weapon to fruition.
As the perfect weapon for stealth and combat, the phantom blade has undergone quite a number of design changes, some of which can be seen in the concept art in the link. The replica being developed by McFarlane Toys shows off the Phantom Blade in three modes: stealth, hidden blade and firing crossbow.
'Rogue' Gets Four New Characters
Future players of "Assassin's Creed Rogue" will also be happy to know that the title for the last-gen consoles will have a rich lineup waiting with new characters. According to GameNGuide, new character Liam is said to be a close friend of Shay, the title's hero, since they were kids. He was the one responsible for introducing Shay to the Brotherhood. Liam is still part of the Brotherhood despite Shay's departure, but the story between the two are the interesting highlight in "Rogue" where other players can explore its meaningfulness.
Another character who may make a difference with Shay is Hope Jensen, the latter's partner during their days with the Brotherhood. Kesegowaase, a Native American assassin who appears to be capable after having trained as a mercenary, will also be found in "Assassin's Creed Rogue." The last character to be revealed is Louis-Joseph Gaultier de La Verendrye, who is a historical figure taking part in the Assassin Brotherhood.
