Ratings of “NCIS” season 14 are already dropping, worrying fans of the American crime thriller series if “NCIS” season 14 will be the last of the CBS show. Amid speculations on “NCIS” season 14 cancellation doing the rounds, another bad news has hit the NCIS fans.

Mark Harmon might quit

If grapevine is to be believed, Mark Harmon, who essays the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, might quit the show. Mark Harmon’s health reportedly has taken a toll on the actor, who is suffering from a serious ailment. His doctor has advised him to take complete rest for some time in order to focus on his health. Looking at his deteriorating health in the past episodes of “NCIS,” Harmon’s fans are also urging him on social media to take some time off. Harmon is growing noticeably thin due to his poor health conditions.

Michael Weatherly might not return to ‘NCIS’ season 14

With reports of Mark Harmon quitting the show doing the rounds, speculations are widespread that Michael Weatherly is no longer returning to “NCIS” season 14. It is said that Weatherly cancelled his return after learning that Harmon is leaving the show.

The ratings of “NCIS” season 14 are dropping down and so to cover up, the showrunners invited Michael Weatherly who used to play the role of Detective Anthony DiNozzo in the series. Many have blamed his departure from “NCIS” season 14 as one of the reasons of the show’s declining rating.

‘NCIS’ season 15 may be cancelled

Although “NCIS” season 15 has been confirmed already, it is uncertain that the showrunners will consider another season, especially after two main actors quitting “NCIS” season 14 and its ratings dipping.

“NCIS” season 14 episode 10 aired on December 13 on CBS in the US and Channel Ten in Australia. “NCIS” season 14 will take a break and will resume on Jan. 3, 2017.
