Motorola X Phone vs. Nexus 5: Rumors on Smart Phone Features and Specifications
There have been numerous reports of an upcoming LG Nexus 5 smart phone but the Motorola X Phone is the one that gathered the most attention. Google has already obtained Motorola Mobility where the X Phone is the latest smart phone that Android and Motorola develops together.
The incorporation of Google applications could be the indicating factor for the device's massive impact on consumers. According to the DroidForums web site post, the Motorola X Phone will be launched with the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at Google I/O.
Motorola X Phone will reportedly feature a 5-inch 1080p display, an eight-core processor and a new camera technology. Motorola has been putting so much effort in creating the X Phone user interface atop the Nexus-skin that can further develop the Android experience.
The combination of the two companies will no longer require Google to subcontract work with other companies like Foxconn or LG. The smart phone's production and improvement can be accomplished from within Google's boundaries.
Cost-reduction is another benefit of Google since the company works on the production without the need to pay extra manufacturing fees. With that, the upcoming X Phone with high-quality features is expected to come with a low price.
In other reports, LG is currently working hard on two upcoming Nexus devices that Google will launch in May 2013. It is the Nexus 5 smart phone and the Nexus 7.7 tablet. Nexus 5 is claimed to feature a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a Tegra 4 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 MP camera and storage capacity of 8GB or 16 GB.
Though the Google I/O is still a couple of months away, more reports about the upcoming Motorola X Phone are expected to surface that could surpass the Nexus 5 features and specifications.
