Morgan Freeman, who played legendary roles in Hollywood films, regret focusing too much on pursuing his acting career and perfecting his acting chops that fatherhood did not immediately change him. Most actors would utter the touching cliche that fatherhood changed them the moment they hold their babies but Freeman said he missed that opportunity.

In an interview with Telegraph UK, Freeman said he was not a family man and surmise that to be a father, one should be married in the first place. Having four kids did not automatically make him a father, he shares. It took him a while.

"I'm not sure fatherhood changed me. You have to be married to be a father. I sired a couple of kids without being married, but that doesn't make you a father. It took a while for me to become a father. I was busy trying to be an actor, and the two didn't really go together in my youth."

The man who played God in "Bruce Almighty" shared that he's now making up for the lost opportunity by being the most doting grandfather that he could.

"But now I am in my dotage, I am a great grandfather. I have 14 grandchildren. I'm not a hands-on grandfather. I haven't changed diapers. But when I had daughters, I changed theirs. Being hands-on makes a difference in your child's life," he shared.

At 77, the actor is not only continuing to make noteworthy films and spending good time with his kids and grand kids, he's also producing a new television show for CBS, entitled, "Madam Secretary." And if his fans could not think he could be any cooler, he also recently just landed his own plane while en route to attend the world premiere of his film, "Ruth & Alex" in Canada.

The actor was late on the movie's pre-reception party but nobody minded esecpailly after learning that he experienced technical problems that forced him to perform multiple emergency landings on his own jet. Independent UK reported that the jet was fine before the flight but when in the air, they experienced difficulties in getting them to retract. He had propel the jet to go back and land.
