ABC's 'Modern Family' Cast And Crew

It's Valentine's Day once again and in ABC's comedy series "Modern Family," Valentine's Day means it's the return of "Clive" and "Juliana." Phil and Claire Dunphy have been spicing up their celebrations for the past couple of years by role playing instead of going to the same old Italian restaurant like they did for over a decade. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria have to deal with Gloria's visiting sister. Here's a recap of what took place in episode 14 titled "Valentine's Day 4: Twisted Sister."

Phil is looking forward to the evening because he knows his date with Claire will be exciting. A few years ago, they decide they have gotten tired of spending their Valentine's Day having dinner in the same place since they got married. Phil decides to role play as Clive, a travelling speaker salesman, and Juliana pretends to be a foxy lady he picks up at a hotel bar.

This year, Claire takes things up a notch by going really adventurous. She leads Phil on an exciting night that involves stealing bottles of alcohol and going skinny dipping. After a while, Claire starts to realise Phil is acting strange. She sees Phil seems to be more interested in her fictional character than the real Claire. Still acting as Juliana, she starts to show Phil Juliana's crazy psycho side until Phil is forced to break up with Juliana and tells her how much better his real wife is.

Over at the Delgado–Pritchett household, Jay is also looking forward to Valentine's Day. He has been feeling neglected so he wants to have some romantic alone time with Gloria. Unfortunately, Gloria's sister Sonia is in town. She was supposed to go back home but her flight got cancelled so Gloria suggests they should all just stay home and celebrate together. Jay isn't pleased but agrees anyway. He feels sorry for Sonia and gives Sonia a present he initially intended to give to his dog Stella. Unfortunately for him, Sonia starts to act crazy and openly flirts with him. Manny also notices and the two of them agree Sonia is trying to make a pass at Jay.

Sonia has always been jealous of Gloria and thinks she should have been the one married to the rich man who rescued Gloria from their village back in Colombia. Gloria overhears Jay and Manny talking about it and gets mad at them for thinking that way about her sister. Jay is mortified and goes up the room to apologise to Sonia. Once alone, it turns out Jay was right. Sonia makes her move on him. Unfortunately for her, Gloria hears everything on the baby monitor and the ladies get into an all out catfight over Jay.

Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam are off to celebrate their friends' anniversary. Anders and Cooper were married a year ago so Mitch and Cam decide to bring them a beautiful and expensive painting. It is actually a painting they also want for themselves but they decide to give it to the other couple. When they arrive, Anders reveals Cooper has left him. Cam then decides they can take the painting back since there is now no reason to celebrate. Unfortunately the maid has already taken it and stashed it away elsewhere in the house.

Mitch and Cam then take turns distracting Anders as the other one looks for the gift all over the house. They also go back and forth between deciding to give it to Anders or to take it back because they feel guilty. In the end they manage to find it and decide to take it back after Anders insults their home and says there aren't any pretty things in it. The adventures of the hilarious cast of "Modern Family" continues next Wednesday on ABC.
