Amidst her legal troubles and ongoing community service, reports are suggesting that Lindsay Lohan is set to play dame Elizabeth Taylor for a TV-made movie.

It has been months since executives from the Lifetime Network (USA) started to develop a TV movie entitled 'Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story'. According to sources, the network heads are seeing Lindsay Lohan as the perfect Elizabeth Taylor for this venture.

It was also said that Lohan has already started talking to executives about taking the lead role.

The film will focus on the tumultuous-yet-dreamy romance of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, a couple which spent 10 years together in the limelight (1964- 1974). Burton and Taylor re-married in 1975, but the renewal of vows didn't go quite well; the couple split for good just a year after the re-marriage.

In 2011, the "Mean Girls" and party girl was in the middle of a legal mishap due to shoplifting accusations. Lohan pleaded 'not guilty' of felony grand theft on Feb. and has started her rounds of community service and therapy sessions.

It will be refreshing and inspiring to see the actress get back on her feet again, doing what she does best-acting like a vixen onscreen. Elizabeth Taylor is not the only iconic Hollywood actress Lohan modernizes. The actress also posed for Vanity Fair as Marilyn Monroe, complete with the signature mole, make-up and blonde hair.
