Kim Kardashian has undergone a makeover treatment called ultherapy. Recent reports say that the treatment gave the TV star a face and neck lift on Jan 17.

The star was reportedly accompanied by her rapper husband Kanye West and two bodyguards when she visited the upscale Beverly Hills plastic surgeon's clinic.

"Kanye West waited for her in the waiting room while two security guards stood outside her door as she got the treatment," an eyewitness told the New York Daily. "She didn't make eye contact with anyone."

Ultherapy is a form of skin tightening that uses ultrasonic therapy for collagen renewal of the skin, reports Haute living. The process uses tiny electric shocks to tighten the skin on eyebrows, face and neck.

The treatment is the latest non-surgical procedure for skin tightening. It has recently been gaining popularity. Its subtle results reportedly start appearing after three weeks. But the pain associated with the whole process is reportedly its major drawback.

The reality TV star could not bear the overwhelming pain, according to reports. "She freaked out because it was so painful, so she asked for a Xanax," a source told the New York Daily. The painful procedure usually lasts for an hour and costs about $2,800-$3,500 per session, reports Haute living.

It was reported by New York Daily in March 2013 that the star has undergone another painful beauty treatment called vampire face lift. In this procedure, blood is drawn from the arm with a needle and is separated into a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) using a centrifuge. The plasma is then combined with Restylane or Juvederm, and then injected into the face to stimulate collagen production. This procedure helps to create new skin, remove fine lines and acne scars.
