If former "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl ever disappointed anybody, the actress revealed that it was "never intentional."

The 35-year-old actress, who is set to star in the new NBC drama "State of Affairs," recently addressed the rumours concerning her alleged diva attitude that have been plaguing the actress for years during the Television Critics Association (TCA) NBCUniversal Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills, California on July 13, 2014.

"I certainly don't see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult," Katherine Heigl told reporters. "If I ever disappointed somebody, it was never intentional."

Heigl's latest statement, addressing her diva attitude, is now making rounds on the Web. The "State of Affairs" actress won an Emmy award in 2007 for her performance in "Grey's Anatomy," but left the said hit TV series in 2010, resulting to varying reactions from fans, for reasons the actress revealed were mainly highlighted by her daughter Naleigh.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in March 2010, Katherine Heigl explained her "Grey's Anatomy" exit, saying that spending three months in Utah with her musician husband Josh Kelley and daughter Naleigh has made her realize how much her family means to her. Heigl said that she "couldn't sacrifice" her mother-daughter relationship with her child over her career despite the audience treating her exit as what seems to be "unrespectful."

Prior to her exit from the series, though, Heigl has already been subjected to criticisms. A statement she made in 2008, saying "I did not feel I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination" has also made rounds on the Web. The actress, however, admitted to EW that she regretted saying it.

"The ungrateful thing bothers me the most," Heigl told the publication. "And that is my fault. I allowed myself to be perceived that way because I made these snarky comments."

The criticisms continue, however, with rumours of her alleged diva attitude adding to the pile after an insider on Katherine Heigl's 2010 film "Life as We Know It" spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, claiming that Heigl has a bad attitude on set.

"She can cost you time every single day of shooting," the source told THR. "Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day."

The THR report projected that the statement from the source might weigh down the career of former "Grey's Anatomy" star, particularly viewing it as a potential threat to her comeback on "State of Affairs," which her mother Nancy Heigl is executive producing.

The impact of Katherine Heigl's alleged diva attitude is yet to be revealed as "State of Affairs," starring the former "Grey's Anatomy" actress with Alfre Woodard, Tommy Savas and Maria Di Angelis, hits TV screens on November 2014 on NBC.
