Katniss Everdeen, a character portrayed by the actress Jennifer Lawrence in the "Hunger Games" movies, has got a life-like wax statue at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. The wax statue has the same costume and setting as seen by the fans in the movies.

The launch of the statue comes close on the heels of the movie "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" being released in the theatres recently. The new statue forms a part of the New York and Hollywood attractions at the wax Museum. Some of the fans took the opportunity to click some selfies with the statue.

Madame Tussauds wax museum is home to many personalities from the movie industry, sports, music, world leaders, culture and Royals. Apart from the actors from Hollywoodm the museum is also host to the characters that some of the popular actors portray in the movies.

The Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen can be seen wearing the costume from the movie "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." The character was seen wearing different exciting costumes in the movie, but the one chosen by the wax Museum was the hunting costume.

The Katniss Everdeen statue can be seen wearing a brown leather hunting jacket and dark trousers with knee length brown leather boots. The statue can also be seen carrying a bow and arrow that the character is famous for using in the movies. The hairstyle of the statue is also modelled after the look of Jennifer Lawrence in the "Hunger Games" movies.

The Katniss Everdeen statue has been placed with a backdrop from the "Hunger Games" movies for the fans to have a more immersive experience while visiting Madame Tussauds wax museum. Paula Kupfer, SVP Worldwide Promotions and Consumer Products from Lionsgate, reportedly said that the studio was "delighted" to have worked with the museum to bring this experience for the fans.

Fans of the franchise will get to see Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming movie "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2." The movie is slated to be released in November 2015. The exact release date in Australia has still not been revealed by the producers.
