"Jane The Virgin" lead actress Gina Rodriguez teased the fans through an interview what they can expect in the second half of her character's life when the new CW TV series returns. The 30-year-old Golden Globe Award-winning actress talked about Jane Villanueva's decisions, future with her family and romantic relationship with her baby daddy, Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni).

Gina Rodriguez revealed in The Hollywood Reporter interview that her character, Jane Villanueva, will be focused on her family when "Jane The Virgin" returns with the second half episodes. "When we left Jane, she made a very big decision about dropping the lawsuit, which had felt uncomfortable to her. Her backing down from the lawsuit was about remembering what matters to her, which is really family," Rodriguez shared.

When it comes to Jane's love life, the actress teased that the fans will see how much Michael (Brett Dier) loves her and what Michael will do in order to protect Jane. Gina Rodriguez claimed that the audience will be weighing in on who is better for Jane as well as who has Jane's best interest.

Gina Rodriguez revealed that Jane is not aware of what Michael is up to but the actress believes that the actions of Jane's ex-fiancé only validates how much he loves her. "You're going to see that representation, between Michael and Rafael [Justin Baldoni], [of] dreams and reality," the actress explained.

Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed in a TV Line interview that the comedy-drama series will pick up right after Abuela's (Ivonne Coll) fall. However, Gina Rodriguez teased that the storyline will not only focus on Abuela's recovery.

The upcoming episodes will be dealing with the issue of Abuela's status in the country. "I love the fact that we bring up immigration because it is an ever-present problem in our country. And I really like the fact that they integrated something so valuable and so important in our daily lives," Rodriguez stated.

The second half of "Jane The Virgin" is expected to be more interesting after the show's executive producer teased that there is a hurricane coming that will emotionally affect the Villanueva home. "Jane The Virgin" airs on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
