Alec Baldwin is still in hot water after shouting an anti-gay slur to a paparazzi when he, his wife, and his infant child were out in New York. Baldwin's 18-year-old daughter, Ireland, defended her father through her Twitter account, saying "let him be."

When the 30 Rock actor, who was carrying his baby, stepped out in a NYC apartment, TMZ cameras were there to film his appearance. Unfortunately, unlike friendly celebrities being caught by cameras, Baldwin lost his temper and expressed how annoyed he is.

"Get away from my wife and the baby with the camera! What language do you want that in?!" Baldwin shouted while the unnamed camera man continued to film the actor and his family. TMZ was able to catch the whole thing, and started the hoopla against Baldwin's comments.

"Get away from my kid with the camera! You know what's going to happen to you, don't you? Come on!" continued Baldwin, to which he concluded "c--ksucking f-g." Obviously, the LGBT community was not impressed, nor nonchalant about Baldwin's aggressiveness, but his daughter, Ireland, came to the rescue as she defends her famous father in her Twitter account.

"Sometimes we let our tempers get the best of us," Ireland said in her account.

"Tempers are like wildfires. Something or someone can easily fuel the fire...It takes a lot of strength for someone to release their anger," continued the model.

Ireland then went on to discuss her father's anger issues, and says that he has grown over the years, being able to manage his anger. But when it comes to his family's safety, it's an entirely different situation.

"For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously," further explained the model in the same Twitter account.

"My dad is far from a homophobe or a racist," assures Ireland on her father.

Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin wrote an open letter to The Huffington Post about the entire controversy, saying that no matter how much he apologizes for naturally protecting his family, TMZ is certain to bury him into shame.

"I know that @TMZ would go to any lengths to bury me. But, try again" Baldwin states in his Twitter account. He then used the opportunity to assure that he is "thankful" for the friends in the LGBT community who supports him and understands the kind of stress he is dealing against invading paparazzi.

"I'm grateful to all of the ppl I meet + hear from who recognize that I would never say something to offend my friends in the gay community," writes the actor in his Twitter page.
