The HTC One X, which was previously called the HTC Endeavor, HTC Edge, and HTC Supreme, is expected to make its presence known at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

One of the reasons why many people are anticipating the debut of HTC One X is its quad-core processor. HTC One X is supposed to be the first smartphone to have a quad-core processor but there are also unconfirmed rumors stating that Samsung, LG, and Motorola are also planning to launch quad-core smartphones. As mentioned, HTC One X underwent a lot of name changes from HTC Endeavor, HTC Edge, and HTC Supreme. One of the possible reasons for this name change is because of the company's plan to make it an original version of a new series.

Though the exact details for HTC One X have not yet been officially released, there are already specifications that have been released to the public. One of which is display size and this smartphone will be utilizing a 4.7-inch HD display. This is line with the growing trend of smartphones having a larger display size like the smartphones released by Samsung. As for its processor, it is already reported that it will get NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor running at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM. Storage capacity for this smartphone is around 32GB if internal storage and so far, there is no news for a microSD slot for HTC one X. Leaked information shows that HTC One X will be utilizing the latest Google Android OS which is the Android 4.0.5 of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).

As for its features, HTC's One X will have one 8MP camera located at the rear part with back-illuminated sensor. The camera can record a video at 1080p HD. This smartphone is also reported to have dual microphones in order to record stereo in higher quality. HTC's One X would reportedly support all major connectivity options which include Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and FM radio. In terms of battery, the smartphone would possibly have a 1,800 mAh battery which would ensure a "standard" battery life for HTC One X.

No official release date has been set for HTC's One X. Though that is the case, more details are expected to be revealed during the 2012 Mobile World Congress. Some analysts predict that this smartphone would be available in the market around April or May based on the release dates of HTC in the past. As for its selling price, no exact information has been announced yet but there are reports stating that it would be around £500 - £600 in the U.K.
