“How to Get Away with Murder” (HTGAWM) cast member Alfred Enoch, who portrays Wes Gibbins in ABC’s legal drama series, talked about the intense scenes that happened in the winter finale episode of season 2 titled “What Did We Do?” Enoch also teased in an interview what the fans can expect from Wes when “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 returns on Feb. 11, 2016.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 spoilers.

On Wes shooting Annalise Keating. Enoch shared in a Variety interview that he wants the viewers to have the freedom of interpreting the shooting incident at the Hapstall mansion in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 winter finale episode. The 26-year-old “Harry Potter” actor thinks it is difficult to differentiate in the shooting scene if Wes really wanted to kill Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) or he was just infuriated when he found out that Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) is dead and Annalise has been lying to him.

“But he certainly goes over to her to finish off the job. I genuinely think his intention is to kill her,” Enoch further added. Enoch believes that the issue between Annalise and Wes will be on how far Annalise could sell Wes out if she wanted to because of her attempt to cover up for Asher Millstone’s crime of killing A.D.A. Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns).

Enoch finds the Wes-Annalise relationship a complicated one because Wes knows to a certain degree that he cannot trust her. “There’s an intimacy between them, which complicates the issue with him shooting her and trying to kill her, which obviously is why the betrayal feels so stark and so painful,” Enoch explained.

On Rebecca’s death. Enoch teased that Wes Gibbins will be absolutely committed in finding out what really happened to Rebecca in the second-half episodes of “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 like who killed her and where is her dead body. “That was something that I was interested in because she’s the most important person to him,” Enoch shared.

On the young Wes/Christophe storyline. Hearing the name “Christophe” has stopped Wes from shooting Annalise again in the winter finale episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2. Enoch admitted he does not know anything about his character’s past life but he believes the young Wes/Christophe storyline that involves Annalise and Eve Rothlow (Famke Janssen) will be further developed in the upcoming episodes.

“How to Get Away with Murder” series creator Peter Nowalk teased in an interview with TVGuide that the Christophe storyline is in the works and things could become different as the second season reaches the end. “I think all of it -- it's only going to get uglier,” Nowalk further shared.
