Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson have decided to break up after 10 years together.

According to People, reps from both parties have confirmed to the publication of the Hollywood couple’s separation.

"Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends," reps said.

Kruger started dating Jackson in 2006 after she split with her husband of five years, French director Guillaume Canet. While the couple shared wonderful romance together, it was recalled that they started with a bad date. It was so bad that “The Inglourious Basterds” actress told Conan O’Brien in an interview that she pondered about slapping him. But Kruger didn’t anticipate it was the start of their romantic relationship that lasted almost 10 years.

"Meeting someone like my partner, who has a very different perspective, who likes to travel in a different way and be open to various experience was so important," Kruger revealed in a recent issue of Town & Country Magazine. "Love is the most important thing in life, and it happens when you least expect it," she also quoted.

Kruger had been seen wearing a diamond ring, which supposedly made the pair’s engaged status official. However, the couple never tied the knot.

“The Affair” actor had previously denied plans on getting married, saying that he and Diane weren’t really religious. He also noted that they’re both children of divorce, therefore he doesn’t really see the need for the ceremony as long as both parties stay committed.

Currently, there is no official statement on why the two broke up. Rumours suggest that their split had to do with Kruger spotted making out with “Sky” co-star Norman Reedus. These rumours didn’t last, though, when Diane and Joshua proved that they were still good together.

Now their 10-year good relationship has ended with the two deciding to just become friends.
