Sex Toys

In her latest GOOP Newsletter, actress Gwyneth Paltrow recommended several sex toys that she says are not basic playthings in bed.

The celebrity believes that sex toys should no longer be kept inside the bedside table since these are “beautiful works of interactive art.” Paltrow points out that “Sex toys have long since graduated from the floppy rubber things” kept out of public sight.

On top of Paltrow’s recommendation, and easily the most expensive item, is the $15,000 solid gold dildo, reports The Telegraph. The sex toys on the list would cost around $20,000, but the most expensive is the dildo from Lelo Inez because it is 24-karat gold.

But Mashable points out that there is a more affordable model made of stainless steel which costs half the price at $7,900.

The other sex toys include a light BDSM started kit for $37.99, an Agent Provocateur cat whip in black or gold for $535, a Lelo Tiani 24K butt plug for $399, a Lelo Tor 2 cock ring for $139, a Jimmyjane Seduce Me Feather Tickler for $69, a fetish fantasy black glass Ben Wa balls for $19.95 and $24.95, and a Dian Hanson The Big Butt Book 3D for $59.95.

However, a few hours after Goop’s latest edition came out, blogger Lindsey Ellefson came up with a list of cheaper alternatives to items on Paltrow’s Goop list in Mediaite. Ellefson takes to task the actress for being “out of touch with regular people,” whom Paltrow thinks could afford the things she is selling.

Ellefson says she searched and found a feather duster that costs only $8.90, oversized glass marbles for $4.65, pure dish soap for $1.02 and suggests using the internet to search for porn rather than buy an expensive book with naked images.
