“The Good Wife” Season 6 has yet to return to CBS with a new episode. This week further stretches the long wait for fans of the show. When the legal drama does get back on air, fans expect more complications, twists and changes. An update announces Episode 13 is airing Mar. 1.

Spoiler alert: This update contains “The Good Wife” Season 6 spoilers for those who have not watched the latest episodes up to Episode 12, titled “The Debate.”

“The Good Wife” Season 6, Episode 13 airs Mar. 1, according to an update on E! Online. Reasons cited for the delay in new episode broadcast include awards show and some sports events in the current programming.

Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) is running for State’s Attorney. Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) spends some jail time. Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) commits a federal offence for Cary. Trusting Kalinda completely, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) inadvertently files before the court a false evidence. These are some of the highlights so far in “The Good Wife” Season 6.

So far in “The Good Wife” Season 6: Alicia’s campaign has just begun, and Cary’s case has just been dismissed. However, no one except Kalinda and one guest character knows about the fake evidence.

Well-received in Alicia Florrick’s new political world this season are David Hyde Pierce and Steven Pasquale. The former plays Alicia’s political rival Frank Prady; the latter, her campaign manager Johnny Elfman. Another gentleman, Matthew Goode’s Finn Polmar, has become much closer to the good wife herself since the tragic events in Season 5.

In addition, when “The Good Wife” returns in spring (as of this writing, it is not clear when the CBS series will air new episodes again), a familiar character is returning. Gary Cole, who plays Kurt McVeigh, is resurfacing in the series for a “springtime story arc,” TVLine reported.

McVeigh’s arc is expected to be related to his marriage to Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). He and Diane tie the knot in “The Good Wife” Season 5.

Meanwhile, fans are speculating on how Archie Panjabi would exit “The Good Wife.” Kalinda is in deep trouble as of this season’s Episode 11. It remains to be seen, however, if this could impact her exit storyline.

Panjabi is leaving “The Good Wife” when her contract expires at the end of Season 6. A 20th Century Fox Television executive has spoken about Panjabi’s career move.

"Archie is an Emmy Award-winning dramatic actress, and rightly so. Her work on ‘The Good Wife’ has been extraordinary, and the time has come for her to star in a project of her own," Sharon Klein 20th executive vice president, told The Hollywood Reporter.
