A garbage collector in Brazil was fired from his job after he threw a dog into the garbage truck’s compactor. Sources report that the injured dog was crushed alive inside the compactor.

Jadson James France, 35, was fired after his actions were captured and posted on social media. According to reports, Franca dragged the injured dog across the road before throwing the poor animal at the back of the rubbish truck.

According to witnesses, they saw Franca run the dog down before chaining it around its neck. The waste collector reportedly laughed as he was pulling the dog along the road in northern Brazil’s Presidente Figueiredo. According to him, throwing the dog into the truck was an “act of kindness” since he saw that the animal is in great suffering.

A local who witnessed the cruelty took a snapshot of Franca’s actions on posted it online, which was shared by the country’s famous TV presenter Xuxa who has 4.4 million followers on Facebook, as reported by News Australia.

According to Xuxa on her Facebook post, the injured dog wasn’t causing any trouble, yet he was tied and dragged in agony before being “brutally murdered”. “This MONSTER can still appeal against a fine and will still be walking the streets in freedom! are we going to let that happen?? Let’s do something?? together we can,” Xuxa wrote.

Presidente Figueiredo Mayor Nielson da Cruz reportedly said that Franca has been fired and that his employer will be fined. Brazil’s A Critica newspaper also stated that Franca will be charged with animal cruelty and will be released on bail.

While there was awareness on the cruel incident, da Cruz expressed his criticism directed towards filming incidents and refers to it as an “absurdity”. According to him, people are engrossed in filming the cruelty rather than doing something to prevent it.
