The biggest crisis needs the biggest support. Refugee crisis is a rising problem that the world is facing today and the beloved “Game of Thrones” cast have joined hands with non-profit organisation International Rescue Committee to lend their voice and raise money for the global refugee crisis. The campaign is called “Rescue Has No Boundaries.”

This is the most opportune time for anyone to bring in the popular cast as “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is hitting screens on April 24 and people are frantically searching up for littlest of updates they could on their favourite characters. This support, shown by the cast, is expected to help the organisation in raising money for the great cause.

The video of cast members asking for support was uploaded on YouTube on March 12 and has already received more than 60,000 views. It stars Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, John Bradley and Liam Cunningham among others.

The cast and HBO have also offered a prize for those who will make donations. They can win a trip to Los Angeles to the premiere party for the new season.

There are 16 million people displaced in countries like Syria, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Serbia, Jordan and Iraq. People can donate by either taking the traditional route or through the Omaze platform. They can also win a plethora of goodies such as signed Season 5 posters, replicas of Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) sword and T-shirts. The goal of the campaign is to reach US$1 million (AU$1.34 million).

[Spoiler Alert] “Game of Thrones” fans are eagerly waiting for Season 6 to air as a lot of questions remain unanswered. While Jaime Lannister and Cersei Lannister are plotting revenge against the Faith Militant, Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) has been taken by the Dothraki. Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) fate is unknown, although the actor promised he will return to the new season only as a corpse.

Similarly, the fate of Sansa Stark is also unknown. Although it has been confirmed that she is alive and is going to play a major role in the upcoming season, it will be interesting to see how she escapes from Ramsay Bolton’s evil grip. Arya Stark is in all probability still blind and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) will use his psychic powers to plot revenge.
