The premiere of “Game of Thrones” season 8 is still a long way off, but the cast members can’t help but think about the ending. Filming of the last season has already wrapped, and the finale appears to be something that the actors clearly remember, as they talked about the show in recent interviews.

According to a report by WatchersontheWall, Ian Glen (Jorah Mormont) was asked a normal question in a recent interview about who he wants to see on the Iron Throne in the end. The actor predictably chose Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), a character that Jorah loves and serves on the show. But then, he said something that teases the ending.

“You might be surprised by the obvious, though.” Glen said. This suggests that the fans should expect the unexpected, which is in line with the twists and surprises that have been featured on the show so far.

Glen isn’t the only one teasing an unexpected ending. In an interview with Elle, Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) said that he was “really surprised by the ending.” “I really like it, but I was really surprised. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t see it coming,” he said.

Both Anderson and his fellow cast member Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) are rooting for the Dragon Queen. However, it will be a bitter sweet ending no matter who ends up on the Iron Throne, if there is one in the end.

Emmanuel pointed out that the show has a way of breaking the fans’ hearts into a million pieces and then rebuilding it, and this will continue in the last season.

“So you’re used to that at this point, and I think that’s also true for season eight,” Emmanuel said about the surprises on the show. The fans will have to wait till next year to find out what’s in store in the last season of the TV series.
