Perhaps the biggest question on the minds of fans about “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is whether Jon Snow is coming back. In a recent interview, Kit Harington said that he is “finished” with the TV series and his character is in fact dead.

[Spoiler alert]

Jon Snow (Harington) was stabbed to death by the members of the Night’s Watch in the previous season, but the fans are hopeful that the character will be resurrected somehow through magic. In an interview with The Sunday Times, Harington insisted that he is “finished” with the TV series.

The actor confirmed that his character is indeed dead and he is really finished with the TV series. The actor will be returning in the next season only to play the role of Jon Snow’s dead body, The Telegraph reports. The actor revealed that he had to film his dead body scene in Northern Ireland.

“You can’t just forget that he’s actually died,” the actor pointed out. He said that the “certain amount of filming” that he did for “Game of Thrones” Season 6 was as a dead body. “I’m bloody good at playing a dead body. It was some of my best work,” the actor joked.

Addressing the fan speculation about why he hasn’t cut his hair if he is in fact finished with the TV series, the actor said that he likes his long hair and has gotten “attached” to the long hairstyle. Harington is contractually obligated to keep his hair long for the popular fantasy TV series.

The fans of the HBO series have been keenly watching the length of Harington’s hair as a potential clue about his character continuing in the TV series. The most popular fan theory at the moment is that Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) will use her magic to resurrect Jon Snow.

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 will premiere on April 24. The TV series is expected to send many more actors packing this time around, as it does every season, and also introduce new characters.
