A new trailer hints at Jon Snow’s future in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The trailer is for the DVD set of Season 5 and is heavily focused on Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch.

[Spoiler Alert]

Despite the producers’ best efforts, fans refuse to believe that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is dead and that he is not coming back. The most popular theory is that Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) will be the one to resurrect him, using her fire magic.

The trailer of the DVD set of Season 5 posted on the YouTube channel of the TV series shows Jon Snow taking the oath for the Night’s Watch. The character has kept his promise and served the Night’s Watch till his death, as is required by the oath. Winter Is Coming sees the new trailer as a confirmation that the character will return in the next season.

If Jon Snow returns in the next season, he will have no more obligations to the Night’s Watch. He has some support in the Night’s Watch and the Free Folk also owe him their lives, but it is not clear what Jon Snow’s next step would be if he returns in “Game of Thrones” Season 6.

The most recent trailer of the next season showed what appears to be Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) fighting the Boltons. Jon Snow previously wished to take a strong army to fight the Boltons, the character may finally get his chance as his connection to the Night’s Watch ended with his death.

With Stannis dead, Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) and Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) may also join forces and look towards Jon Snow for leadership in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The threat of the threat of the White Walkers is also increasingly real and the Night King was once again teased in the recent trailer.
