Keisha Castle-Hughes, a cast member who plays Obara Sand in "Game of Thrones" Season 5, spoke about her role and other aspects of Dorne. She revealed details about how she trained for her role and spoke about women characters in the TV series. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

Obara Sand is the daughter of the now deceased Oberyn Martell. Keisha Castle-Hughes revealed to Stuff in an interview that she came to know the role she was playing the night Oberyn Martell's death scene was aired on television. She reportedly said that she had a "very intense emotional" reaction to the death scene of her character's father.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will be featuring three of Oberyn Martell's daughters. Obara, Nymeria and Tyene each have different personalities and temperaments. But Keisha reportedly said that she was excited to see these women characters working together, as the audience "haven't seen that yet."

According to Keisha, "Game of Thrones" features a lot of strong women characters, but they are all seen in their individual capacity. The actress cites the examples of Arya Stark, Brienne of Tarth and Cersei Lannister. The three characters have been mostly seen working on their own. She described the Sand sisters as "warriors" and reportedly said that the three characters are very dangerous because they have nothing to lose.

The actress described Obara Sand as a "warrior monk." She said that the favourite pastimes of the character were to murder people, meditate, pick on her younger sister and ride horses. The actress revealed all the hard training that was required of her for a role in "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

Obara Sand reportedly weilds a 7-foot spear, which required Keisha to go for martial arts training. The actress reportedly had to learn martial arts of Wushu for her role. The actress has done a lot of stunt-based rules before but described her preparation for "Game of Thrones" Season 5 as a "massive challenge."

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will be featuring the Kingdom of Dorne for the very first time. Keisha described the desert kingdom as a place where people are a lot happier than their counterparts in King's Landing, thanks to the excessive sun that leaves people more tanned and gives them Vitamin D.
