After four bloody and shocking seasons of "Game of Thrones," fans of the books and of the series have started to fear that their favourite characters may get killed in the upcoming, new episodes. Harington had previously revealed that he is in contract to keep his hair long, and the recent haircut has triggered speculations about the possible death of his character, Jon Snow.

US Weekly shared photos of Harington's new short and sleek hairstyle that he showed off for the first time on Jan. 5 at the premiere of his film project, "Testament of Youth." The premiere took place in London and Harington walked the red carpet without his signature curly locks draped around his shoulders. He revealed to Metro that in the film, he had to wear a wig to hide his long hair. He also admitted that he is eager to chop off his locks as soon as he is allowed to do that.

Now that he has stepped out with his hair chopped off, some fans and media outlets are speculating that his character Jon Snow might have also gotten chopped. The new haircut doesn't prove anything except that Harington is now allowed to have a haircut and is no longer restricted by his contract. Season 5 premieres in April and viewers will soon find out the fate of his character at least for the time being. The real answers will come when the sixth book installment is released in the near future.
