Last month, YouTube channel Epic Rap Battles of History published one of their most viral videos and longest battle to date: Steven Spielberg (played by Nice Peter) vs Alfred Hitchcock (played by EpicLLoyd). With a total runtime of 3minutes and 59 seconds, this is also one of their battle royale videos in which surprise guests enter the ring: Quentin Tarantino (played by Wax), Stanley Kubrick (played by Ruggles Outbound) and Michael Bay (also played by Nice Peter).

Spielberg goes first and implies to Hitchcock that he grew up learning from the latter's films in order to become an even better director. "Now picture a 3 billion dollar dream machine," he continues, as the real Spielberg's net worth was $3 billion in 2010 according to Forbes Magazine, and also a principal partner of Dreamworks Studios. Nice Peter cleverly spits, "I'll bring back 'JAWS' (Spielberg's first major hit) and take a bite off your "Lifeboat" (an early Hitchcock film).

Not one to be outdone, Hitchcock opens with, "That was a close encounter of the turd kind," clearly referring to "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," one of Spielberg's films. "But there won't be a pretty ending this time." Hitchcock then says to Spielberg, "C'mon! Fish puppets and Muppets to stir the fears up (Spielberg used puppets to represent monsters in some of his movies like "Jurassic Park")." "I squeeze screams out of chocolate syrup (referring to the notorious shower scene in his film "Psycho", where he used chocolate syrup to represent blood)."

Enter Quentin Tarantino: Tarantino starts to taunt both combatants, starting with Hitchcock. "Alfred, you got no style, dog. I'm the king of dialogue," he proclaims, as the real Tarantino is known to make films that are dialogue-heavy, and to great effect. After a few bars, he turns his attention to Spielberg. "Now allow me to attack Steven the hack," he starts. Tarantino then makes fun of Spielberg's 2005 remake of "War of the Worlds", implying that there were so many special effects, it looked like something Michael Bay would do.

The ghost of Stanley Kubrick also makes a surprise appearance, but perhaps the most humorous moment was when Michael Bay actually joins the fray, hanging from a helicopter ladder, possibly a shout out to the real Bay's film "Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon" which features plenty of helicopter scenes. "That's enough, I've heard enough crap from all of you," he raps, "Why don't I come down there and show you what a real star can do?"

"Steven Spielberg vs Alfred Hitchcock. Epic Rap Battles of History." has been published on Dec.15, 2014, and has had well over 13 million views since. The full rap meanings can be found here. Watch the epic rap battle below:
