A new name joins the cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Late last night, Deadline was the first to report that the "Pride and Prejudice" star, Jennifer Ehle, would be joining the cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey." There has been no word from E.L. James about the casting, but other reports claim that Ehle has officially joined the film adaptation.

In the BDSM-themed film, Jennifer Ehle plays the part of Carla, Anastasia Steele's mother, a strong Southern woman on her fourth marriage. Ehle's other notable roles include that of Kathryn Bigelow in "Zero Dark Thirty," Cindy Morris in "The Ides of March" and Myrtle Logue in "The King's Speech."

Ehle recently wrapped up production in the Alan Rickman-directed film, "Little Chaos" and Jose Padilha-directed "Robocop." Schedule for production on "Fifty Shades of Grey" is due anytime this month, but Jennifer is keeping busy with other film roles. Reports state that Jennifer is set to join John Travolta as his onscreen wife in the film "The Forger."

If casting for "Fifty Shades" was done 20 years earlier, Ehle, who is now 43 years old, would have been a potential candidate for the part of Anastasia Steele. Check out the slideshow to see more of Anastasia Steele's onscreen mom, Jennifer Ehle.
