New scenes from “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” have been released in TV spots. One of the videos also shows the favourite spells of some of the cast members.

The first TV spot [see below] shows Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) capturing an escaped Niffler, the creature that likes to steal shiny things. While there will once again be fun magical creatures to look forward to in the film, the tone this time around is dark. Tina (Katherine Waterston) can be seen asking Newt if he has anything in his case in the fight against Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

The second TV spot appears to show Newt putting together a clue that will eventually take him to Paris in the film. The main reason for most of the characters to head to Paris is Credence (Exra Miller). The video also teases a new kind of a malevolent creature that appears to be the creation of Grindelwald.

The next video teases another new creature that appears to be invisible until Newt uses some magic. The video also talks about the coming war, and the need for everyone to pick a side. Newt, however, is reluctant to pick a side, but Dumbledore (Jude Law) wants him to movie against Grindelwald.

The last video is an interview with some of the cast members, who talk about their favourite spells. Alison Sudol’s (Queenie) favourite is Expecto Patronum because her Patronus is a stallion. The other interesting spell is Levioso, which is Dan Fogler’s (Jacob Kowalski) favourite. The actor joked that the spell would allow him to add a few inches to his height.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” has been directed by David Yates. The script has been written by JK Rowling. The film is set to be released on Nov. 15 in Australia.
