Omar Borkan Al Gala has expressed love and gratitude to his million of fans after the “too handsome” guy reached more than one million of followers on Facebook barely one month and a half after news of him being thrown out of Saudi Arabia for his unlawful good looks.
In an exclusive statement sent to IBTimes-AU via email, Omar noted that having more than one million of Facebook is a “blessing.”
"I truly appreciate all the love and support my fans have shown me. To have 1 million likes on Facebook is a blessing from God,” Omar said in a statement.
Omar became an internet sensation in April 2013 when news broke out that a man was identified with two others who were thrown out of the mid-east country because officials fear he may have an impact on women - - one that’s not accepted in any religious norms of the country.

Omar, a self-described model and poet, has caught the attention of the world, women in particular, and the number grew by day until it reached a staggering 1 million between May 19 and 20, 2013, almost a month after the news rocked the world of his deportation on April 24.
Not taking his popularity in stride, Omar noted that not only he is grateful for the “love and support of his fans,” but he also wants to make sure that good things would come out of it.
Omar said, “The real question here is what am I going to show people now that I have their attention… I would like my fans to get to know me better and to update them on the new things going on in my life.”
