Earth, Wind and Fire may really have a lot to remember September for. The band, who sang about the 21st night of that month in one of their most popular hits of all time, is set to release another album, Now, Then & Forever, their first in eight years. The album, which includes songs like My Promise, Sign On and Dance Floor, can be expected on the 10th of month associated with them.

"It's a great representation of who Earth, Wind and Fire is now, but not departing from the classical sound," Philip Bailey who lends his vocal talent for the group, was quoted as saying.

Then again, "it doesn't sound like we're trying to be anyone other than Earth, Wind and Fire," clarified Verdine White, the band's bassist.

The latest offering from the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers also has a sentimental value. Larry Dunn, a co-founding member was called in to help during the production, as reported in the AP.

Philip Bailey Jr. is named as writer and producer of the latest album of his dad's band.

Fans will also be credited for their support as long as they are among those who pre-ordered the album. An exclusive poster in the package will be printed with their names on it, according to the band's Web site.

The band which was once hailed by the Rolling Stone magazine as "innovative, precise yet sensual, calculated yet galvanizing," earlier postponed the release of their new sound which was scheduled to coincide with the 2012 US presidential election season.

They waited until they are ready to let their fans listen to the musical interpretations of their creativity.

"We have a lot more bells and whistles in place now and the record is better," shared Bailey.

The band is currently on a tour in Europe.
