As the plot continues to thicken on “Days Of Our Lives,” fans are counting down the days before Kate Mansi, who plays Abigail Deveraux, makes her dramatic exit from the long-running soap.

The 28-year-old actress took to Instagram to announce to “DOOL” followers that her last day is on June 24. “Stay tuned to my social accounts along the way- I'll be sharing some special posts and creative opportunities I have planned as a way to celebrate our journey and take us to the finish line together,” she wrote. “Here we go!! XO”

Earlier in January, Mansi also used her personal Instagram account to confirm reports that she’s leaving her TV role, which she had been playing since 2011. “After much thought, I’ve decided the timing was right for me to set sail from Salem,” she wrote. Mansi continued by saying that she has enjoyed giving life to the character of Abigail. “I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed every single beautiful and messy moment of being Abigail, and will always treasure our time together,” she added.

Soon, fans would see the new Abigail, or Abby, as they fondly refer to her. Actress Marci Miller will take over the role, and she has already begun taping her episodes, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly. Prior to “DOOL,” Miller was seen in films such as “About Abigail,” “Viper,” “Dog Bowl” and the remake of “Death Race 2050.” She also has an upcoming movie scheduled to hit theatres in 2017, titled “Children of the Corn: Runaway,” according to the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb.

Fans of Mansi should not worry about missing the actress, as she hinted of new projects ahead. “Oh, and one more thing... STAY TUNED! I PROMISE you, you won't want to miss what's coming!” she posted last January.

One thing is for sure – Miller has big shoes to fill and “DOOL” followers would closely monitor what she can bring to the soap.
