Salem is about to get a jolt of another series of shocking events on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Wednesday, Kate (Lauren Koslow) gets the shock of her life when she finds herself facing someone back from the dead. When Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) turns up at the Kiriakis mansion, she knows that he’s there for one goal: seek retribution. Spoilers indicate, however, that Kate’s fears could be unfounded and it’s possible that Deimos is there not to harm her, but to make a deal.

Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will figure prominently on the July 6 installment include Nicole (Arianne Zucker), Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Belle (Martha Madison) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier).

TV Guide reports that on Wednesday’s run of “DOOL,” Shawn is concerned that things are not running smoothly with Belle. Meanwhile, Philip finds out that Deimos is headed back towards Salem. Nicole, on the other hand, confronts Chloe about her relationship with Deimos. Elsewhere, Kate gets a shocking surprise at the mansion.

The “Days Of Our Lives” website posted sneak peek photos of the cast for the July 6 episode. Click here to see Nicole, who grills Chloe about what’s going on between her and Deimos. Shown here is Shawn, who gets anxious about the status of his relationship with Belle.

Behind the scenes, things at “DOOL” are also as chaotic as the storylines. As part of the recent shakeups on the NBC soap, John-Paul Lavoisier is reportedly being booted off, according to Globe Magazine and reported by Soap Opera Spy. Lavoisier, who currently plays Philip Kiriakis, was said to be blindsided by the firing. “He got the axe in a phone call and he’s furious he wasn’t at least told in person,” the story stated. The “Days Of Our Lives” management is reportedly considering to hire back actor Jay Kenneth Johnson, who originally played the character.

On Tuesday, Victor comforted Maggie, who was crying about the recent revelations about Summer. Despite what Summer has done, Maggie’s willing to forgive her. However, Victor said their lives would be better “without that parasite.” When Victor asked what he can do to make her feel better, Maggie asked him to look for Summer. Later, Fynn arrived to check up on Maggie’s health and said that she’s doing very well. Once alone with his wife, Victor suggests going on a cruise with her to take her mind off things. She seemed to be warming up to Victor’s proposal. Meanwhile, Steve was devastated when Kayla told him that she needs time to sort things out before moving forward. However, shortly after, she dropped by his house to bring his harmonica. Steve said she didn’t need to travel all the way there just for that. Kayla revealed the real reason why she’s there: she professed her love for him. “It's a quandary but I can't seem to live with you or without you.”
