Christopher Nolan, director of "The Dark Knight Rises," tells The Los Angeles Times he may include footage from the Occupy Wall Street protests in the final installment of the Batman movies.

His production team will head to New York late this month and is considering filming with the protesters occupying Zuccotti Park.

Nolan said he is looking for actors with "military and/or law enforcement training/experience, weapons training, and/or martial arts training." The idea would be to play characters and roles that are "besieged by crime and corruption, sounding a bit like what's currently happening in Occupy Wall Street."

But how would the protesters react to this? Some may find it counterproductive to be included in a big budget film. Some might feel their cause is not being taken seriously. Nolan said it's just an idea at this point.

According to the LA Times:

"It's unclear how protesters would react if cameras for 'The Dark Knight Rises' were nearby. A former independent film director, Nolan wouldn't seem to have much in common with Wall Street fat cats. But he is overseeing a $250 million in production financed by one of the world's largest media conglomerates. On the other hand, some demonstrators may find that the film accords with their mission. The casting call says that characters will inhabit 'a city besieged by crime and corruption.' That's almost like a description you'd read on a, well, Occupy Wall Streeter's protest sign."

A source claimed that the whole cast and crew are indeed heading to New York to shoot but won't tell the locations and dates of filming.

Would "Batman" stand with the protesters or would the "Dark Knight" hunt them down? Maybe we'll find out.
