Celebrity dance showdown “Dancing with the Stars” is just a week away from crowning a new Mirrorball Trophy winner and, aside from the audience, the judges and contestants are feeling as emotional as ever. During last episode’s semi-finals night, the remaining contestants reached deep into their emotions and delivered some of the most heartfelt performances ever seen on the show. Unfortunately, as the episode ended, one team had to be sent home.

DWTS Recap: Laurie gets emotional and breaks down mid-Foxtrot

Of all performances on that episode, the most notable was that of Laurie and Val’s. Laurie is surely on strong woman and her performance actually came just days after her grandmother passed away due to Alzheimers’s disease. She has this sense of regret that she did not fly home to be with her grandmother for one last time.

Laurie lets all these emotions out to a perfect performance of a foxtrot and when she was finally able to compose herself, she was finally able to wipe her tears off. When the performance ended, she started crying hard on Val’s chest. This moment sent judges and audiences teary eyed.

DWTS Spoilers: Finale to see Final Four showdown to win

Almost every performance stunned the audience and judges on the previous episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” but the show had to go on and eliminate more contestants. With this said, Terra and Sasha were sent packing home with a heavy heart. This, however, is not all that bad as fans are in for some explosive performances as the show reaches its finale.

This leaves Laurie and Val, James and Sharna, Jana and Gleb and Calvin and Lindsay to be competing against each other for the first place. Entertainment Weekly reports that the final four reveal was not really that shocking and it even appears that in this upcoming finale, all teams appear to be evenly matched.

The finale for “Dancing with the Stars” season 23 will air on Monday November 21 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
