Clash Royale
Two new Legendary cards are joining the fray. Supercell

As promised, Supercell has delivered the newest update to “Clash Royale.” The long-awaited feature is over, and now it’s time for players to get near their planned opponents so they can battle it out, Tourney-style.

In a new update via the official “Clash Royale” blog, this is one of the massive new features to debut in the game. It introduces a new mechanic of location when creating or joining battles by way of tournaments.

Every tournament will last anywhere between two to three hours, and with it comes huge rewards for winning. Supercell even compiled a number of English and non-English language streams that “Clash Royale” fans can either join in or watch, seen here.

The update is accompanied by new content; new cards, to be exact. There is a new Common Card, Ice Spirit and a new Epic Card, Bowler. There are also two Legendary cards, the Lumberjack and The Log.

Touch Arcade managed to find a video that shows a sneak peek of the two new Legendaries, seen below. The Lumberjack, which looks like he has just been in a snow storm and fits perfectly in the newest arena, is one of the newer units. At four Elixir, the Lumberjack serves as a dual purpose—the first is as a unit fighter and as a spell. This is because once the Lumberjack is defeated, it will spill a Rage spell that will damage units and buildings from the enemy side.

From the looks of the Log alone, it’s not your lone tree branch that’s fallen from grace. Rather, because of a Rage spell, The Log is now on a revenge rage to crush anything in its path. Even though this doesn’t seem much, The Log is actually a powerful counter. At only two Elixir, The Log can crush anything, including multiple troops on the ground and even a Princess, which is at one level higher than The Log.

Additionally, there is a new arena, the Frozen Peak, which unlocks after a player passes the 2,300 trophies mark. Achievement-hogs can also look forward to the tournament. Competing in them will unlock some new achievements, which will hopefully bring in more gems for completing them.

“Clash Royale” players who love to watch battles among players will be happy to know that TV Royale will also feature the top players in the Legendary Arena channel more often now.
